This is Lake Garda in Italy. I do love the crystal clear water, the Mediterranean climate and the vegetation which is dominated by palms, lemon groves, cypresses and orange trees. Tourists come to Lake Garda for relaxing, outdoor and water sport activities.

This is Lake Carezza in South Tyrol, Italy which is also known as the rainbow lake due to its spectacular colours. The story goes that a sorcerer once hurled a rainbow into the lake, since then it has shimmered that colourful. In the background you can see the Alps and the Dolomites.

This is Lake Reschen. A lake close to the border of Switzerland and Austria. What I found makes this lake really special are the crystal clear water and the steeple sticking out in the middle of it. There used to be two villages, Grain and Reschen, which were flooded in 1950. The only reminder of the village of Grain, which was destroyed completely, is the church's steeple.
